Waitress: So do yah want more cahfee or not?

[[Bank solemnly raises his cup and the waitress refills it.]]

Waitress: Here yah are, Shakespeah.

[[Bank continues drinking and the overhead panels are his thoughts/narration, as indicated by his raised eyebrow.]]

Bank (Narrating): No one wants to hear my story, or if I catch them in a corner and force it upon them like an annoying grandparent, no one will believe me. I am forced to repeat it to myself over and over, trying to make some sense of it.

Bank (Narrating): A drifter, they said, broke into Bob’s house and used a rake to slaughter my 3 friends. Luckily for myself I was in a bathtub when I was attacked, so the tub held in my own blood long enough for paramedics to arrive.

[[Bank’s hand, which isn’t holding the coffee, clutches his chest.]]

Bank (Narrating): But their story is full of holes, as full of holes as my body is now. And what motivation would a drifter have for attacking my friends and I? When I think back to where I was working right before the incident, a much more probable suspect emerges. One with the motive, the opportunity, and the very claws to create the horror that came upon us.

Sorry for the small font. Unfortunately due to being computerless I’m working with a rather rinky dink setup. I have to actually do the lettering in MS Paint because the installation of Gimp on my work computer refuses to load any fonts, even system fonts. If this series becomes the unexpected smash hit of GiantSpaceLizard I might go back and fix it later.
